There was once a day that when I wasn't running, I was thinking about running. It was a summer back in the 00's and it is in those pages of that running log that I now find my motivation.....

Up until a few weeks ago, I was consumed with losing weight and was using running as my tool to do so. But I found myself loathing running. I wasn't dropping pounds as fast as I wanted and so I hated running because it wasn't doing what I wanted it to do. But it hit me one morning. I realized that I was running for all the wrong reasons. What happened to those days when I couldn't stop thinking about running? When I would go to bed early so that I could get up early and run twice the next day. Those days were gone and I needed them back. I had been telling people for years that I was "training for a half marathon". Well that morning I said I am doing it before I get married. And now here I am...6 weeks away from my half marathon debut.
